Hey, nice blog with good info. I really like coming back here often. There?s only one thing that annoys me and that is the misfunctioning of comment posting. I usually get to 500 error page, and have to do the post twice. - It seemed the world was divided into good and bad people. The good ones slept better... while the bad ones seemed to enjoy the waking hours much more. - Woody Allen Born 1935

Designs 1. You should always make sure that the design you?ve chosen is appropriate for the fabric you wish to embroider. Fabrics that drape require lighter designs with lots of open spaces, while high-nap fabrics require more dense designs. Whenever possible, you should do a test stitch-out on the same fabric you will be using for the finished product. You can save these test stitch-outs and use them to make a quilt, frame them, or use them in other projects. If your machine only has a 4? x 4? hoop and you find yourself regularly resizing embroidery designs to fit the hoop, it may be worth investing in embroidery editing software. Just as a photo loses some quality when it is resized, embroidery designs degrade when they are resized. Even if your machine or software has a feature to automatically shrink designs, a digitizing or editing program will do a better job and produce a better-looking result. Hooping 2. It is important to hoop your fabric and stabilizer together properly. When the needle is pounding away on the fabric several times per second, it causes the fabric to shift and stretch. Proper hooping prevents this.
